About Great Bright Light
Great Bright Light is founded on the belief that artists are our best shot at saving the planet. Their work inspires us to see differently, think differently, and act differently. Artists pour so much of themselves into their work; Great Bright Light exists to pour back into them.
Great Bright Light is a regenerative art ecosystem — a space where artists are supported in a holistic way, where healing is woven into creative practice, and where the relationship between artist and collector is built on shared values.
THE 3 PILLARS ECOSYSTEM
Healing. Reiki and energy work that help artists sustain their creative practice, reconnect with their intuition, and support & nourish their whole being.
Advocacy. Mentorship, consulting, and curatorial guidance that helps artists build sustainable practices and connect with the people and opportunities aligned with their values.
Connection. Meaningful relationship-building between artists and values-aligned collectors — people who want art that carries intention, made by artists living with integrity.
Great Bright Light is a living and evolving project.
About Monica Manoski
Founder, artist, Reiki-practitioner, curator, advocate
Monica is an artist, Reiki practitioner, curator, and arts advocate. Her work is rooted in the conviction that artists are essential — not just culturally, but cosmically — and that the well-being of the artist and the vibrancy of the art world are inseparable.
Experience & Background
Curatorial & Arts Leadership
Built Arts & Culture Districts; led social justice and community-engagement initiatives in the arts. At Essex Art Center, replaced a ticketed annual auction with a free, accessible block party — drawing thousands and reshaping the organization's relationship to its community.
Reiki Training
Discovered Reiki in 2019 while researching for an art show. Completed Levels 1, 2, and 3, followed by Reiki Teacher Training in 2025.
Artist Advocacy & Collector Relations
Works directly with artists on visibility, mentorship, and curatorial guidance, and connects them with collectors who value meaning over market — building relationships rooted in shared values rather than transaction.
Founder, Great Bright Light & Evolve Collective
Built Great Bright Light as a healing and advocacy practice for artists, and Evolve Collective as its community dimension — a space for artists and healing arts practitioners to connect, share resources, and move ideas forward together.
“Monica is concerned with the whole person and is deeply aware of the unique creative that resides within and requires an outward expression.
She knows well the truth of such a personal balance and seeks to assist this honest gift via her multifaceted perception and expertise. As a director and heart born poet, Monica waves her vast compassion with ease and generosity. Her presence is a gentle wind and vibrant reminder that healing wisdom is best received in gestures of kindness and presence. Through the integration of her many modalities and natural practices, Monica treats the heart so that the mind might better align to see and know all that is within us.
It has been my great pleasure to know and work with Monica in both her spiritual and creative capacity for over a decade. Monica is the consummate collaborator, and fits well as both leader and cheerleader. She offers a light touch and firm awareness coupled with honest and patient repose. I have often been the charmed recipient of her expert ability to hold space for new thought and vivid realizations. “Truth is a gift we give ourselves.” (Monica Manoski)"
With great enthusiasm and appreciation, I wish to acknowledge Monica and the bright light that she embodies.”
